Frontly vs Synthflow
Synthflow is a voice AI platform: you build the agents, you own the project, and it is sold as an annual enterprise contract. Frontly Answer is a done-for-you inbound AI front desk on a monthly plan, built with you and live in about an hour. Two different purchases for two different buyers.
- A monthly plan rather than an annual enterprise contract, so a front desk is a decision you can make this week
- Done for you: we design and build the first version of your call flow, then hand you the builder
- Live in about an hour, not a platform project with a launch plan
- One purpose-built product for inbound answering rather than a toolkit that can be pointed at anything
- Caller data stored and hosted in your region: US, EU or UK, with encryption in transit and at rest

Key Differences Explained
Synthflow is now an enterprise contract, and that changes the comparison
Synthflow's public pricing page states that enterprise contracts start at $30,000 annually, with final pricing scoped around call volume, concurrency, telephony setup, integrations, security needs and launch support. Older comparison articles, including an earlier draft of this one, describe cheap monthly tiers that are no longer published. If you are a small or mid-sized business looking for a front desk, that number is the whole answer. If you are a platform team with a voice AI roadmap, it may be entirely reasonable. Figures as published on synthflow.ai in August 2026 and indicative only.
A toolkit and a product solve different problems
Synthflow is a platform. It is flexible on purpose: you decide what the agents do, wire the integrations, and own the result. Frontly is a product with one job, answering your inbound calls well. The flow, the qualification, the booking, the escalation rules and the dashboard already exist, and onboarding is us building the first version with you. Flexibility is worth paying for when you have somewhere specific to take it, and it is overhead when you do not.
What live in about an hour actually means
For a Frontly front desk it means a working call flow, your knowledge base loaded, your escalation rules set and a number pointed at it, on the same day you decide. A platform purchase runs on a different clock: scoping, contracting, building, testing, launch support. Neither is wrong. They are just not the same decision, and comparing them on price per minute misses that entirely.
Where the enterprise conversation happens for us too
Frontly's self-serve product is inbound answering. Outbound calling and deployment into your own cloud or on-premise are enterprise engagements here as well, scoped and quoted by a human rather than listed on a pricing page. If that is the shape of what you need, /contact is the right starting point on either side of this comparison.
When Synthflow is the right pick
If you are building voice AI as a capability rather than buying a front desk, if you have engineers who will own it, or if your requirements around concurrency, telephony and integrations are genuinely unusual, a platform with an annual contract and launch support is the honest answer. Frontly is the better fit when the goal is that every inbound call gets answered properly, starting now.
How Pricing Compares
Frontly Answer is the inbound AI front desk, billed at a flat monthly rate and sized by monthly minute allowance. Sizes and inclusions are on /pricing.
Synthflow publishes enterprise contracts starting at $30,000 annually, scoped around call volume, concurrency, telephony, integrations, security and launch support. Figures as published on synthflow.ai in August 2026 and indicative only.
INDUSTRY FIT
Is Frontly right for your industry?
AI helpdesk reception for MSPs is the one industry that genuinely could build on a platform, which is why the honest question is not whether you can, but whether maintaining it beats billing that time to a client.
AI IVR to replace your phone menu is a well defined job with a known shape, and a general purpose voice platform is a lot of surface area to configure for something a purpose-built product already does.
AI front desk for any business is the buy side of this build-versus-buy question: a calling API is not a front desk until somebody builds the workflow, the dashboard and the escalation rules on top of it.
AI receptionist for accounting practices needs call handling that is dependable in the four weeks a year that matter most, not a build that needs its author on standby during peak season.
AI reception for property managers wants maintenance triage working tonight, and a platform contract with a launch plan does not answer the phone while it is being scoped.
