Frequently Asked Questions
Two plans you can book here, month to month, and Pro on a quote. Starter is $149 a month with 100 call minutes. Standard is $199 a month with 200 call minutes. Pro adds outbound campaigns, multi-agent teams and higher volume, priced with you. Every plan includes the full Frontly platform. Prices are in USD, plus applicable taxes.
No. There is no checkout here. You pick a plan and book a setup call, and a member of our team calls you to confirm the details and set up your plan. You then customize the ready-made receptionist workflow and test it before going live. Billing is arranged after that call.
Yes. Every plan is month to month. An upgrade takes effect straight away, with credit for the unused part of your current plan. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. You can cancel any time, and your plan runs to the end of that month.
Your plan is a flat monthly rate with a monthly call-minute allowance, shown in the plan table above. Beyond the allowance, a few things are metered: extra call minutes, SMS notifications, transfers and, on Pro, outbound calls. Email notifications from your Frontly address are included. Every rate is published on this page.
Nothing stops working. Minutes past your allowance are $1.50 each, on every plan. So a busy month does not force a bigger plan: buy 200 minutes on Standard, land on 250, and you pay $1.50 each for the 50. You can set usage alerts at 90% of your included minutes or any level you choose.
A pack adds 50 call minutes for $50, on any plan, and you can add as many as you need. It is charged in full when you switch it on and renews with your plan on your billing date until you switch it off. The minutes last until the end of the current billing period and do not roll over.
Call minutes are measured by the second and added up across your billing period, not rounded up call by call. Inbound calls and answered outbound calls share the one allowance. So 205 minutes and 30 seconds on a 200-minute plan is 5.5 extra minutes, at $1.50 each. Transfers are charged separately, as shown in the additional costs.
Talk to us about Pro when you need outbound campaigns, a team of specialist agents behind one number, or regularly need more than Standard's 200 minutes. Enterprise is the level above: your own cloud or on-premise, with security terms written for your review.
Transfers come with every plan. Transferring a caller to a landline is $0.20 per answered call, untimed, however long the conversation runs. Transferring to a cell phone is $0.10 per minute, and each transfer is rounded up to the whole minute on its own: transfers of 130, 60 and 1 seconds bill 3, 1 and 1 minutes, 5 in all. If the phone rings out and nobody picks up, there is no charge. Outbound calls cost the same.
Email notifications sent from your Frontly address are part of every plan, with no monthly cap. SMS is metered at $0.10 per segment, because a carrier charges us for each one. A segment is 160 characters, or 70 when it includes emoji or non-English characters. Sending notifications from your own email domain, or from a dedicated SMS number branded to you, is a separate add-on quoted per customer.
Yes, a one-off $199 on Starter and Standard. It covers phone-number allocation and activation. Pro's setup is scoped in your quote.
No. Every plan starts from a ready-made receptionist workflow for the industry you choose when you book, which you customize, test and maintain yourself in the visual builder, plus email support during business hours for questions about using Frontly. Bespoke workflow design is agreed separately. If you want expert guidance, the managed service adds a Customer Success Partner who reviews your workflows and makes recommendations. It is a separate paid add-on shown on this page.
